FAITH GOALS are what you aspire to
achieve based on God’s Word – on His promises to us. Faith goals are something
you want to believe and claim, though reasoning and current circumstances are
unfavorable. The concept of faith comes into place because it’s about the
conviction of things not seen.
Having a faith goal is not about anticipating a miracle. It’s about doing the necessary
and expecting God’s favor. It’s about seeking His Word, acting upon His Word,
and claiming the power of His Word.
Faith goals are thrilling because
it involves God, our UNLIMITED source.
To cite, one’s faith goal for this
year may be…
To start an investment. Even if you
have numerous dues to pay. Even if you didn’t even start saving yet because “isang kahig isang tuka ang salary mo”.
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my
house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not
open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there
is no more need. (Malachi 3:10)
To be in love again. Even if you
have trust issues. Even if experience dictates it takes you years to accept and
be healed! Even if you think it you will never find someone better or a more kilig love story.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former
things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)
To be punctual. Even if you
are aware it’s your #1 habit to be fashionably late. Even if you believe it
runs in your genes (all family members are more often than not fashionably late).
Even if you have been known as a tardy person since Grade 4.
That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy
3:17)
To be able to minister to your family. Even if you cannot imagine doing so. Even if you think you
are not the best person to speak. Even if you are convinced that “traditions
die hard”.
And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to
the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is
great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your
wives, and your homes.” (Nehemiah 4:14)
To see a vision. Even if you
think you will never ever be.
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and
thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what
he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. (Mark
11:23)
As I write my faith goals in 2013,
it appeared to me that there is a LOT of things I want to accomplish – most of
which are already way past their deadlines! Then maybe I should ask God’s revelation first
of what He wants me to do this year. And that makes my faith goal #1: To Hear God’s
Voice.
This is a good list. Its nice to know you're this deep and matured even at your age. I wish you well and goodluck this 2013!
